The safety and well-being of students is a priority in SD83. While every effort is made to provide a safe learning environment, accidents can happen both at school and during school-sponsored activities.
Please note that SD83 does not provide accident insurance coverage for student injuries that occur on school property or during off-site school activities.
Accidents can happen at any time, and it's important to make sure your student is insured. Families can purchase accident insurance to make sure their children will have medical costs covered in the event of an emergency or unforeseen situation.
SD83 does not insure expenses for student injuries that happen on school grounds or during extracurricular activities.
For your convenience, we have provided information for families to voluntarily purchase student accident insurance through insuremykids® Protection Plan offered through Reliable Life Insurance Company.
Participation is entirely voluntary, and coverage is purchased directly by parents or guardians.
Available plans offer affordable coverage and may include benefits such as:
- Dental expenses resulting from an accident
- Total and permanent disability coverage
- Paralysis or loss-of-use benefits
- Special disability benefits
- Accidental death benefits
Additional coverage options are available for students who participate in extracurricular activities, sports, and other activities outside the regular school day. Family plans are also available for households with three or more children.
